The Austrian Body for Mine Rescue and Gas Defence (Hauptstelle für das Grubenrettungs- und Gasschutzwesen) is proud to invite you to the 12th International Mines Rescue Body Conference, which will be held in Salzburg, Austria, in the heart of Europe from Sunday, September 21 to Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Since the founding of the International Mines Rescue Body, biennial international conferences ensure a continuous improvement of mines rescue and mine safety through the sharing of knowledge and cooperation.

Call for papers

Possible topics of papers:

  • Lessons Learned from actual missions of mine rescue operations
  • Innovative methods for safer mine rescue operations and/or training
  • New equipment, technologies or methods affecting mine rescue operations and training
  • Rescue methodologies and equipment for the future
  • Mine rescue operations standards and norms
  • Other mine rescue related content

  • Submitting in PDF format to post@hauptstelle.at
  • Limit 500 words
  • Abstract as well as the Presentation can be performed in English or German
  • Slides only in English
  • Maximum duration of presentation: 20 minutes
  • Deadline for submission of the abstract: April 30th, 2025

In order to be considered for performing a presentation, you must be a registered conference delegate.
A committee will evaluate the articles and will inform the possible speakers by mid of May 2025 as to whether or not they have been selected as such.
